FOOD & NUTRITION CAMP

ART CAMP

17th – 19th August 9am – 3pm

Open to Years 5 & 6

Why just look at nature when you can press it into art? This summer, join us for a hands-on creative journey across our school grounds. We’re swapping standard canvases for Gelli Plates—flexible, reusable printing surfaces that capture every tiny detail of a leaf’s vein or a blade of grass.
In this camp, we aren’t just staying in the studio. We’re going on “texture hunts” around the school to find inspiration under our feet and above our heads. We may also take you on our famous ‘RMS Tree Walk.’

Forage & Find: Collect ferns, wildflowers, and textured bark from the school gardens.
Layer & Leap: Learn how to layer colors and shapes to create “ghost prints”and vibrant masterpieces.
Master the Brayer: Get hands-on with professional rollers and high-quality paints.
Create Your Collection: By the end of the three days, every camper will have a series of unique botanical prints that will enhance any creative port-folio.

Why Gelli Printing? It’s like magic, but better. It’s a monoprinting process,
meaning every single print is one-of-a-kind—just like the plants we find outside.
It’s tactile, slightly unpredictable, and 100% addictive! “There are no mistakes in Gelli printing—only happy accidents and beautiful layers.”
