A stunning Art Deco hall, perfect for hosting expansive wedding breakfasts and hosting your first toast. Just outside of our grand Dining Hall is the Quad- a stunning lawn and outdoor decking setting that can seat up to 300 guests. Ideal for sun-soaked drinks and receptions, it can be transformed to match your theme and style.
Adjacent to the Dining Hall is the Quad – a picturesque lawn perfect for drinks receptions. The decking can seat 300 in a theatre-style formation.

The Chapel is a large, ornate space with original stained glass windows. Seating up to 550, the Chapel’s timeless beauty offers a magnificent setting for your special day. Full of details, such as the large hand painted murals depicting biblical scenes and various carvings into the stone, such as the peacock, representing eternity. Due to licensing, The Chapel is only available to those with a close link to RMS, for example, former students.
Please note, the Chapel is currently undergoing refurbishments to the roof and ceiling and we are expecting it to reopen from 2026.
For a more intimate feel, the Resource Centre is ideal for smaller gatherings and wedding receptions.

The Space is a newly refurbished, stunning auditorium that offers a modern and dramatic backdrop for your wedding ceremony. We can build our outdoor wedding package around your dream day, helping you to create the perfect nature-filled celebration. Each package usually includes:
- Exclusive venue hire for your chosen space
- Dedicated event coordinator, experienced in outdoor weddings

- Parking for up to 150 vehicles to accommodate large guest lists
- Use of outdoor grounds
- Access to external caterers and decorators

FAQS
IS THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON DECORATIONS?
Yes, in the Great Hall, Cadogan House Hall and the Dining Hall we do not allow helium balloons due to the fire detection system. We do not allow naked flames in any room, however, please do contact us about ceremonial fires.
DO YOU HAVE A PREMISES LICENCE?
Yes, we are fully licenced to serve alcohol and play music. Please note, there are time restrictions to our licence. All events must be finished by midnight and amplified music needs to be turned down at 11pm to respect our residents.
CAN I BRING IN MY OWN CATERERS?
We have a list of preferred suppliers who we have carefully selected, please do refer to this list.
IS THERE AN ON-SITE COORDINATOR AVAILABLE?
Yes, leading up to your event a member of the events team will be in touch regularly to assist you. On the day of your event a member of the events team will be available. Please note, for large celebratory events a member of the events team will be on site for the full duration of your hire.
IF I WANT TO GET MARRIED AT RMS, CAN THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION BOTH BE HELD AT THE VENUE?
Unfortunately, we are not licensed to perform legal ceremonies. However, a blessing can be performed followed by a reception.
IS THERE AN AREA AVAILABLE FOR THE BRIDAL PARTY?
Yes, we have a few spaces available for the all important getting ready process! Please contact us to discuss these.
IS THERE AMPLE PARKING AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS?
Our car park has 148 spaces available. If more spaces are required, we do have a paddock that can act as overflow parking. Please note, this is weather dependent.
WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO SECURE THE DATE AND WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Upon signing your hire agreement, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Please refer to the hire agreement for the cancellation policy.
ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES (CLEANING, OVERTIME, SERVICE CHARGES)?
This will be dependent upon your event, the timings, areas used etc. If any additional charges are required these will be clearly communicated with you.
DO YOU PROVIDE TABLES, CHAIRS AND LINENS?
We have a number of tables and chairs available, as well as a set number of tablecloths. You are welcome to use our tables and chairs, or you may wish to bring your own for more formal celebratory events.
IS THERE A PREFERRED SUPPLIER LIST, OR CAN WE USE OUR OWN SUPPLIERS?
Yes, there is a preferred supplier list. If you have any questions about these, please do not hesitate to contact us.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RESTRICTIONS OR REQUIREMENTS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY?
No, but we do ask if your photographer/videographer is intending on using a drone that you give us prior notice please. We always love to see the photographs taken here so please do share them with us!
IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, we have multiple access points depending on the area of RMS you are using. Please note, the balcony in the Great Hall and Cadogan House Hall are accessed via steps.
CAN WE HOLD BOTH OUR CEREMONY AND RECEPTION OUTDOORS AT RMS?
Whilst we are not licensed to perform legal wedding ceremonies, our outdoor spaces can be used for blessings, receptions, wedding breakfasts and everything in between. Many couples choose to host their entire day outdoors, while still having indoor options available.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER CHANGES ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?
We always prepare a weather-proof contingency plan. Our team will work with you in advance to create a smooth backup option using our indoor spaces or covered setups, ensuring your day runs beautifully, no matter the forecast.
IS THERE ACCOMMODATION NEARBY OR ON-SITE FOR GUESTS?
We’re happy to provide a list of recommended accommodation options just a short distance away from the venue. Our event coordinators can also help you to arrange transport to and from the venue if needed.
CAN WE PERSONALISE THE OUTDOOR SPACES WITH OUR OWN DECORATIONS AND LAYOUT?
