Our venues accommodate a wide range of events, including concerts, lectures, large weddings and celebrations, exhibitions, filming, sports activities, and residential stays.

OUR HISTORY

Founded by Bartholomew Ruspini in 1788, RMS for Girls stands as one of the oldest girls’ schools in the country.

The school was originally established in London and offered a secure environment to educate the daughters of Freemasons unable to support their families, who would otherwise not receive an education. It was a rare opportunity for females at the time. Over the years, the school grew in prominence and quickly outgrew its London location and in the 1930’s, relocated to the breathtaking Rickmansworth Park. Once a deer park and stately home, this 300-acre estate was transformed into a purpose-built school, offering a serene and picturesque environment for our students.

Today, the school is home to our boarders as well as our day pupils, with four schools covering nursery through to sixth form. Many of the original 1930’s building remain, with a few newer additions.

Priya Taylor

Operations & Enterprise Manager

Priya has been with RMS for Girls for two years and loves working with her colleagues while enjoying the school’s stunning grounds and traditions—especially its iconic Drill, which you can watch here.

Outside of work, she’s often found at live music gigs, cooking, taking long walks, or learning to crochet—when she’s not playing chauffeur to her performing arts loving daughter!

She dreams of planning a music festival, and her go-to karaoke song? We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift!

Olivia Critcher

Events & Lettings Manager

Olivia has been at RMS for Girls for seven years and adores the beautiful grounds. She takes great pride in having successfully reorganised a wedding that was postponed twice due to Covid and faced venue challenges.

She’s always dreamed of organising a Grease-themed party and would love to experience the thrill of managing a large stadium event. Her dream event to attend? A royal occasion steeped in history and tradition.

When she’s not at work, she enjoys walking her dog and getting lost in a good book.

Anna Powell

Events & Operations

With eight years at RMS for Girls, Anna values her colleagues and the breathtaking surroundings.

When not at work, she stays active with sports, country walks, and the occasional theatre show.

If she could swap jobs for a day, she’d choose to be an astronaut and walk on the moon. Her dream event to attend? A glamorous Royal Wedding in Las Vegas!

Corey Keane

Sports Centre Team Leader

Corey has been part of the RMS for Girls community for a year and appreciates the strong sense of community within the school. As the Sports Centre Team Leader, he ensures smooth operations and supports the school’s fitness initiatives.

A fitness enthusiast, Corey enjoys running, going to the gym, and photography in his spare time. If he could have lunch with anyone, it would be football legend Sir Alex Ferguson.
